Even the wind & waves obey Him (Matt 8v23-27) The calm before the storm v23-24 Jesus goes to sleep He’s still fast asleep while the storm rages He totally trusts/rests in the Father Ps 122v3-8, Isa 26v3 Jesus is ‘asleep’ when the most furious of storms hit He waits until your own efforts are exhausted It’s not about self-sufficiency, but Christ’s all-sufficiency Self-sufficiency is a total lack of faith 8v26, Mk 4v40, Lk 8v25 Trusting Jesus is a matter of physical/spiritual life or death Come to the place where you cannot live without Him v25 Trust Him to take control Jn 5v24

Even the wind & waves obey Him’
