Presentation transcript:

Sharon the Shark Sharon the shark loved the shallow water by the shore. Her sharp teeth would shred the shrimps and fish she found there. She would dash and rush at them. One day Sharon got a shock when a fish with a shield shouted at her and gave her a bash on the nose. Now she stays away from the shallow water by the shore. Suggestion on how to use: 1) Read the story to the children without them being able to see it. Ask them to listen for which sound they hear most often in the story? 2) Read the story again, this time with the children able to see it. Which sound did they hear the most? Which letters make that sound? (NB: Children should not be asked to read the story because it will include graphemes (letter strings to represent sounds) which they have not learnt yet © www.SaveTeachersSundays.com 2013 (Images © www.clipart.com 2013)
