National Seniors’ Strategy HUMA Report: Advancing Inclusion and Quality of Life for Seniors tabled in the House of Commons March 29, 2018. There are both tremendous challenges as well as opportunities that go along with Canada’s aging population...Notably, the study recommends a National Seniors Strategy, which provides a framework for the federal government, other orders of government, and stakeholders to work together towards a comprehensive and integrated strategy to advance inclusion and well-being of seniors. - HUMA Press Release, March 29, 2018 http://mserre.liberal.ca/my-pmb/

National Seniors’ Strategy National Housing Strategy “CARP is pleased to see the $40 billion commitment from the Liberal government. While housing is often seen as an issue impacting younger Canadians, many seniors live in social housing that is in disrepair, or are struggling to pay rent on fixed incomes. Homelessness among seniors is increasing; [and] providing housing security is a key step in alleviating it. CARP looks forward to working with the federal government to ensure sufficient funding is allocated to meet the specific needs of seniors.” -Wanda Morris, VP, Advocacy, CARP Join CARP @ www.CARP.ca www.marcserre.ca
