Who Creates History? Archaeologists & Anthropologists An archaeologist is someone who studies people and what they did in the past from the things they left behind. An archaeologist looks for artifacts (objects made by people) and fossils (human & animal remains) that will reveal more about the past. Artifacts Stone tools, coins, arrowheads Fossils human bones, animal bones, fossil imprints The discoveries made by archaeologists are used by Anthropologists to learn more about the development of ancient cultures
Who uses all this stuff? Geographers & Economists Geographers study the effects of topography & natural resources on different societies An economist is a social scientist who studies how societies & governments have used those scarce natural resources to provide for their people. An economist also focuses on the major factors of production in a society such as: What goods should be produced? How should goods be produced? Who should receive the goods? Who should benefit from the sale/trade of the goods?
