Sources for learning how to do the knots Animated Knots by Grog https/www.animatedknots.com/ Freedom of the Hills, 9th Edition, pages 154-163 Knots & Ropes Assignment sheet – this will be posted in Course Materials on the Mountaineers website Everett Scrambling

A few words about the Hasty Harness There are instructions for how to construct this on the “Knots & Rope Assignment” sheet. Information is also in Freedom of the Hills, page 165 Diaper Sling. Just work on the basic construction for this; don’t need to have all sized yet, we can complete this at next class. This is a simply constructed harness to be used with an assisted descent; this is where the carabiner will come in. We will learn and practice this descent technique at the next class.

So tonight’s homework assignment is 1. Learn and practice the knots 2. Homework is due at next class April 4th Questions?
