Water yield responses due to forest harvesting in the Eastern U.S. Comparison to other paired watershed studies in Eastern US This graph represents the change in water yield between pre-forest harvesting and the first year after forest harvesting. Other study locations include Hubbard Brook, Marcell, Fernow, Leading Ridge The x-axis displays the percent forest area cleared and the increase in water yield after harvesting is on the y-axis Adapted from Hornbeck et al., 1993.
