Starter #1: Today’s Agenda is . . . Do Quiz over Wrinkle Chapters 3 & 4 Review main developments in Chapter 4 Introduce Wrinkle Vocab, Chapter 5 Begin reading Wrinkle Chapter 5

Starter #2: Friday we finished reading Wrinkle Chapter 4. Let’s review key points and new developments from that reading. [Introduce Wrinkle Vocab, Chapter 5]

Today’s Goal: We will begin reading and discussing Wrinkle Ch 5. Outcomes: Describe where Mr. Murry is. State why Mrs. Whatsit tells Meg to stop crying. Explain what it means to “tesser” and name examples of the five dimensions. Cite what happened when the children landed on a two-dimensional planet. Name who the children met on the planet in Orion’s Belt and explain why they met her. Explain why Mrs. Murry wouldn’t be worried about the children’s absence. Hypothesize (make an educated guess) why this novel is titled “A Wrinkle in Time.” Infer (put the pieces together on) why planet earth is such a troubled planet. Identify what is significant about all the famous people cited in this chapter.
