Input tool for BWQ data (reported for BWD) concept

BWD reporting process, 2008 data REPORTNET (http://eionet.europa.eu/) DD CDR 1. step: download new data dictionary (DD) for BWD reporting 4. step: collect and download all country deliveries 3.2. Accept country delivery 3.step:upload BW data GDEM BWD working db 3.1. Reject delivery if data not meet basic criteria Country NFP 5. step: quality assurance of BW data 2.step: Prepare BW data according to DD template

Step 1, 2 – DD templates XLS templates according to new reporting sheets, contain 3 tables: STATIONS – BW name, coordinates, start/end of season, link to WFD WB and RBDs PARAMETERS – list of all parameters, 19 for old directive, IE & EC for new directive (data already filled) MEASUREMENTS – raw data: concentrations (cfu/100ml) for each parameter, station, sampling date Advantages of using Reportnet: System already established and working Countries are already familiar with Reportnet BW Templates very similar to templates for WISE SoE reporting (in place, working)

Step 3 – GDEM GDEM is an automatic QA feature invoked when country uploads the data on CDR Simple checks can be included: All mandatory fields have data Correct values for type fields (i.e. WaterType has to be RV, LK, T, C, ...) Etc.

Step 4, 5 – Data processing Data is collected from CDR by BW data manager (ETCW - IWRS) and put into BW working database QA/QC: Some station coordinates: Not within country borders Positioned in the open sea Country characters sometimes not preserved: Č, Š, Ž, Ü, Å, ß, Ł, Ř, etc. First QA/QC of names and coordinates done April - June 2008 by MS Data delivered to EEA in requested format (templates):
