The Neutralists: I Will Not Fight….. Goal: Use CER (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning) to explain why a colonist might choose to be neutral in the fight for independence. As tensions between England and the colonies grew, colonists made a choice. Some colonists sided with the Patriots, who were willing to fight for independence, and some sided with the Loyalists, who maintained loyalty to England. Others chose to remain neutral. After watching the video, write a claim about the neutralists view on fighting for independence. Support your claim with three pieces of evidence from the video.
