Presentation transcript:

BOSTON April 5-7, 2019

Money All trips and jackets should now be paid in full Meals not included in trip price are 3 lunches, plus Friday breakfast (on bus) Suggested spending money to bring: $50+ Covers remaining meals, emergencies (more for souvenirs) If using debit/credit cards, alert companies/banks so they’re not frozen

Code of Conduct Follow directions the first time and always listen carefully. You should never be alone. No cursing or inappropriate language or gestures No drugs, alcohol, tobacco, weapons There is no such thing as free time on this trip. We stay together as a group, at all times. Plans are subject to change. With safety as our #1 priority, it is crucial that all students follow directions. If a stranger approaches you, ignore them and walk away. Inappropriate or dangerous behavior can be grounds for dismissal from the trip, at parents’ cost.

How to behave on a coach bus No shouting, kicking seats, singing, or rambunctious behavior on the bus. The driver needs quiet to do their job safely. Music/videos/games on devices must be used with earbuds All baggage (luggage and instrument) MUST be labeled with a tag including your name and phone number. Large instruments and bags will go underneath the bus, and small items will go above the seats

How to behave at the hotel Once we are at the hotel, no one leaves for any reason. After your room has been checked for lights-out, there is no leaving until a teacher comes to your room the following morning. Any student caught leaving their room during the lights-out period will be sent home immediately at the parents’ expense In the event of an emergency, call Ms. Bagley’s room phone. As on the bus, no loud music, shouting, etc. We do not want noise complaints from other hotel guests. No ordering room service or extra items to your room. These charges will not be approved, as our travel agency handles hotel payment. Breakfast is included at our hotel every day, and all students will go to breakfast.

What to bring See website for packing list and check weather for Boston Performance outfit = NHP Band windbreaker jackets & bottoms of your choice (*outdoor performance*) YOU are responsible for your sheet music, instrument, and folding stand When out and about, bring umbrella, water bottle, snack, necessary medications We will take a coach bus from place to place, so you may leave other items on board as needed (such as jackets) Instruments, music, and folding stands should stay in hotel rooms when we don’t need to bring them. Label all instruments and baggage BEFORE the day of the trip.

Boston Band Rehearsals Thursday March 14 Monday March 25 Tuesday April 2 All rehearsals 3:15 – 4:30pm All rehearsals mandatory
