Preparing for the Science Alive Lecture Challenge Chemistry

What do the pink parts tell us? What do the blue parts tell us? Have you eaten rice yet? We live in a well-developed society, but there are still many challenges to face in our future. One challenge is to improve health care and access to health care, and chemistry may play a key role in this. Another priority for our developing world is an adequate and secure supply of energy in order to meet the needs of our growing population and expanding economies. Activity 1b What do the pink parts tell us? What do the blue parts tell us?

Activity 1b – look at the language Have you eaten rice yet? One challenge is to improve health care and access to health care. Another priority for our developing world is an adequate and secure supply of energy Activity 1b – look at the language The pink part introduces a challenge The blue part tells us what the challenge is

Which prepositions do the shapes represent? Have you eaten rice yet? We live in a well-developed society, but there are still many challenges to face in our future. One challenge is to improve health care and access to health care, and chemistry may play a key role in this. Another priority for our developing world is an adequate and secure supply of energy in order to meet the needs of our growing population and expanding economies. Which prepositions do the shapes represent?

Have you eaten rice yet? Activity 2a If we can understand chemistry better, we might develop our understanding of cell biology. If we we might learn more about causes of health problems. we might find solutions to health problems. we might improve global health. develop our understanding of cell biology, do that, Activity 2a learn more about causes of health problems, do that, find solutions to health problems, do that,
