HW: Vocabulary Practice due Thursday/Friday -Warm-Up: Shakespearean Insults -Horrible Histories -Intro to Open Source -Read the Prologue of R&J -Discuss Foreshadowing and Translation -Read 1.1 of R&J -Respond and Discuss -Read More If Time

Questions w/ Winter Partner 1) Based off of the prologue, name a theme that will be prevalent within the work. 2)The play begins with a series of bawdy jokes and is shortly followed by violence. What do you believe this says about the play? 3)To what extent does the conflict between the Montagues and the Capulets interfere with the lives of others? 4)Pick a quote by Romeo that you believe emphasizes his character. Explain why you chose that quote. Goal: SWBAT discuss and analyze Shakespearean language and the plot of Romeo and Juliet through well-structured activities and questions.
