If the window is too narrow to read, click on the horizontal bar beneath the slide and drag the bar up to enlarge the window. Placeholders are designed to hold text, graphics, and other slide objects. Add text to the placeholders. To Do So Click on Click to add title. (Notice the cursor is a blinking vertical line? That means you are in Edit mode, so you can type.) Click on Click to add subtitle and type.

Europeans Are Descendants of at Least 3 Ancient Human Groups: Study 2. Move, Resize Placeholders Keep reading and following the steps below each slide. Europeans Are Descendants of at Least 3 Ancient Human Groups: Study By Mary Elizabeth Dallas, HealthDay Reporter WEDNESDAY, Sept. 17, 2014 (HealthDay News) -- Present-day Europeans are the descendants of at least three groups of ancient humans, according to a new study. Previous research suggested that Europeans descended from indigenous hunter-gatherers and early European farmers. But, a new genetic analysis involving ancient bone samples revealed they are also the descendants of Ancient North Eurasians. Nearly all present-day Europeans have genetic material from this third ancestral group, researchers from Harvard Medical School said. Move and Resize the Placeholders To Move a Placeholder Click on the text in either Placeholder, then put your mouse pointer over the outline of the outside edge of the placeholder. When your cursor changes to four arrows, click on the edge and drag the placeholder. To Resize a Placeholder Click on the text in either Placeholder, then put your mouse pointer over one of the little boxes on a side or in the corner of the outline of the outside edge of the placeholder. When your cursor changes to two arrows, click on the box and drag.

Layers- Each object is on it’s own layer. 3. Move Objects on Layers Layers- Each object is on it’s own layer. Let’s play with the stacking of the layers for this text and the three shapes. Each placeholder for text and every shape object is on it’s own layer, and they are all stacked. Each layer can be moved forward or backward in the stack. To Do So Click on one of colored shapes. At the top of the screen the Format menu will become highlighted with the words Drawing Tools above it. Click on Drawing Tools. New buttons and options will appear all across the top of the window. Click on Bring Forward or Send Backward a few times to see the shape move in front of, or behind another shape. You can change the layering of objects anytime.

Compare Socialism to Marxism 4. Change the Layout Compare Socialism to Marxism Change layout of this slide to two columns using the Layout button on the Home tab. To Do So Click on the Home tab along the top of the window. In the Slides section, on the left side, click on the Layout button, a window will appear. Click on Two Columns.

Picture Books in Reading Development 5. Add Clipart Picture Books in Reading Development “..it is known that the complexity of the act of reading is not proportional to the length of a given text and, in the case of wordless picture books, the criteria required to decode and interpret pictures are wide-ranging and complex” (Ramos & Ramos, 2011). Add a second clipart image. To Do So Click on Insert, along the top of the window, then Clipart. A panel will appear on the right side of the window to help you search. Type a word or phrase in the Search for window (i.e., two people talking), then click on the Go button. When you see one you want to use, click on it. The clipart will be placed in the center of your slide, so you’ll need to move and resize it just like we did with the Placeholders. To stop searching for Clipart - Click on the X button in the upper right corner of the panel that opened on the right side of the window. Ramos, A., & Ramos, R. (2011). Ecoliteracy Through Imagery: A Close Reading of Two Wordless Picture Books. Children's Literature In Education, 42(4), 325-339. doi:10.1007/s10583-011-9142-3
