Governments of the world Who Rules? Governments of the world

Me, myself, and i autocracy

Autocracy: one person has all the power Monarchy Dictatorship A king or Queen rules the country. They are called a monarch. They come through power because of their family line, usually they are the oldest. In historical times , the monarch had all the power and the final say. Now they share power (or have none) and are subject to the countries constitution. One leader has absolute control over citizens. If there are other parts to the government, they do what the dictator wants them to.

Power to the people democracy

Democracy: citizens hold the political power Representative Democracy: Citizens elect leaders to represent their rights and interest in government. Citizens hold the ultimate power and can vote in new ones if they don’t like them. In US, we don’t elect judges or president(representative democracy) Direct Democracy: No representatives, citizens are directly involved.
