Safety This term for inquiry we have been doing safety. One of the things we did for safety was Constable Rei coming in and teaching us about bullying and situations to do with safety. We also had to bring our bikes to do a bike check and later an obstacle course.

Walk And Wheel To School Week For Walk and Wheel To School Week this year I walked to school every day except Friday. For walk and wheel to school day I walked from the Larnach road park to school. Also for Walk and Wheel To School Week we went up to Rotary Park to do some fun events like the egg and spoon race and some other things.

Maths For maths this term I have been learning the Tidy Tens strategy. We made videos of the strategy using I Can Animate. We also had our first maths extension group sheet.

St Patricks Day On St Patricks Day we had Miss Baxter in the classroom and we went on a St Patricks Day website to try and find the answers to some Irish questions. In the afternoon we got to draw our own Leprechauns. Since the Year Sixes were on camp Kyle and I got to ring the bell.

Egg Caring This term for safety we had to look after an egg for a week. I called my egg Graeme. Sadly the late Graeme fell out of my lunch box on the first day. He was injured but we taped him up and he survived the rest of the week but later was put in the bin.

The Wikispace This term our class have been working on our Wikispace. It looks great and weve uploaded stuff to our pages and in one month we had 1000 visits from around the world.

Beach Education Day For Beach Ed this year we went all the way out to Brighton. Unfortunately it was a miserable day and when we went to have a swim it was freezing. The Life Guards taught us how to recognize a rip, what to do when your in trouble in the water and slip, slop, slap, wrap, slurp and slide.
