Liceo “Staffa” TRINITAPOLI and Lyceum “Chuicov” MOSCOW friendship and cooperation agreement

Liceo “Staffa” Trinitapoli – Lyceum “Chuikov” Moscow

TRIN-01 telescope monitoring Russian teachers and students are particularly interested in the Extreme Energy Events project

Many cultural, scientific and experimental activities were carried out during their stay Lecture by prof. Marcello Abbrescia about the EEE Project Physics Department University of BARI

Lecture by prof. Marina Trimarchi about the use of the cosmic boxes and relative data analysis Liceo Staffa_Trinitapoli

Gargano (Puglia): Data taking with Cosmic Boxes at different altitudes 12/10/2018 5 cosmic boxes Altitudes : sea level + 5 m; s.l.+ 613 m; s.l.+829 m Acquisition time: 30 minutes, with readings every 10 minutes Excel data processing: cosmics rate at different altitudes: ratio between the total # events and time Error on frequency = square root(# events)/time; normalized rate at each altitude putting 1 at altitude s.l.+ 829 histograms for each cosmic box regression fit to the data rate vs. altitude

Some Lyceum Chuikov students, led by their teachers, have realised an app for the EEE Project link https://silaedr.shinyapps.io/EEE_project/

Example: TRIN-01 09/2/2019 – 10/02/2019 You choose the telescope, the time span, download the data, indicate what parameter to put on the abscissa axis

An example You choose what parameter to put on the y-axis and get the plot with the chosen data

All scientific activities made during the first 10 years of partecipation to the EEE Project have been described in the book “NOI e l’UNIVERSO, dieci anni di ricerche” by professors Giacomo di Staso e Margherita Lafata. It contains an introduction by prof. Luisa Cifarelli, nice articles by prof. Antonino Zichichi, prof. Marcello Abbrescia and doctor Fabrizio Coccetti, and includes some interesting contributions by the students of Liceo Staffa

Many thanks for your attention
