Syntax: Synopsis: Root Word: syn Definition: together Freshmen Vocab – List 6 Root Word: syn Definition: together Syntax: Synopsis: The way in which words are put together to form phrases, clauses, or sentences. A brief summary or outline of something that is put together by the reader or observer. Example: Example: By looking at words that are put together in a sentence, I can analyze how a character is feeling based on the syntax of the sentence. Since I didn’t want to explain the entire story, I only provided my friend with a synopsis of the party.

When an object is used together with an idea to represent or stand for something else. I found the sunrise very symbolic, because it not only meant there was a new day, but also represents a fresh start.
