Types of communication

Written Communication A written message may be printed or hand written. In media written communication message Transmission can be via email, letter, report, and memo etc. The vocabulary & grammar used, writing style, precision and clarity of the language used affect message in written communication.

- Nonverbal Communication Non verbal communication is Exchanging of messages and information's without using verbal or written words communication and so affects the effectiveness of message.

Non-verbal communication is usually understood as the process of communication through sending and receiving wordless messages. Nonverbal communication is to or receives of wordless messages. We can say that communication other than oral and written, such as gesture, body language, posture, tone of voice or facial expressions, is called nonverbal communication. Nonverbal communication is all about the body language of speaker.  

Nonverbal communication helps receiver in interpreting the message received. Often, nonverbal signals reflect the situation more accurately than verbal messages. Sometimes nonverbal response contradicts verbal

Communication Process:   A communication process is a series of some step by step tasks or cyclical interaction of some tasks which started from a communicator (sender) and using a system reaches to a receiver and the receiver provides feedback to the sender. There might be a noise in the process.

Communication Process: Communication Process: Communication is exchange verbal and non verbal messages. It is a continuous process. Pre-requisite of communication is a message. This message must be transmitted through some medium to the recipient. It is essential that this message must be understood by the recipient in same terms as intended by the sender. He must respond within a time frame. Thus, communication is a two way process and is incomplete without a feedback from the recipient to the sender on how well the message is understood by him.

The main elements of the Communication Process:  Communication may be defined as processes responsible of exchanging of facts or ideas between persons holding different positions in an organization to achieve mutual harmony. The communication process is dynamic in nature rather than a static phenomenon. Communication process as such must be considered a continuous and dynamic inter-action, both affecting and being affected by many variables
