NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR MISSING AND EXPLOITED CHILDREN NAMEC Mission & Purpose NAMEC Story NAMEC Partners Membership Levels NAMEC Member Certified Missing & Exploited Child Investigator (CMECI) Special Response Team (SRT) Helprescuechildren.org 517 Seagaze Drive, Suite 270 Oceanside, CA 92049

NAMEC - Who we are OUR PURPOSE Network individuals and organizations facilitating rehabilitation and legal representation for victims of child exploitation Network individuals and organizations, articulating and advocating the needs of child victims before legislative, administrative, and judicial local, state, and federal branches of government Act as a hub for as-needed resources by nationally engaging professionals, and volunteers, in meaningful and professional services to victims and families. NAMEC is the first and largest National Missing & Exploited Children’s association in the world. OUR MISSION Assist child victims of exploitation; in prevention, rescue, procuring legal representation, safe housing, and rehabilitative therapy.

THE NAMEC STORY NAMEC officially became a California non-profit charity corporation in May 2017. The inspiration for the formation stated in 2015 in Oceanside, California with Saved in America (SIA). SIA is a non-profit comprised of volunteer ex-Navy SEALS, retired special operations agents and law enforcement officers. All members are licensed private investigators who track and rescue at-risk runaways. One of SIA’s many rescues was a 15 year old female from California who was tracked to Jacksonville, Florida. With the assistance from members of Florida Association of Licensed Investigators (FALI), the team rescued the girl and the criminals were incarcerated. This was the catalyst for the creation of NAMEC as a national organization to assist Missing & Exploited Children and their Families. Helprescuechildren.org 517 Seagaze Drive, Suite 270 Oceanside, CA 92049

THE NAMEC STORY cont While SIA and the PI Profession were the inspiration for NAMEC, its mission is the go beyond recovery. NAMEC is one of the many partners dealing with this horrendous epidemic. Missing and Exploited Children, after rescue, are often left vulnerable to become prey again to sex predators. Without proper care and post-rescue support, victims have little to use to rebuild their lives. The process of protecting victims to help them after rescue and make sure they are not re- victimized. There are thousands of social service agencies and non-profits throughout the country that are working to assist victims. NAMEC is working to be the bridge to incorporate these organizations into the process.
