General aviation By Ezequiel Frydman. In this project I’ll be talking about positive and negative aspects about becoming an airline pilot and all the steps you should fulfill before your last goal.

Some of the fears may be incorrectly known You cannot meet your family for a long time. Being a pilot is too risky for your life. The pilot career is quite expensive. Here are some myths that people create when it’s time to talk about growing up and being a pilot

For your safety:

Aviophobia It is a strong fear that comes when it’s time to board a plane. Here are some tips if you suffer from Aviophobia. There is just 1 in 11 million chances to die in a plane crash, even knowing that 96% of the crashes history, the people survive.

Hypothetical situation The flight LH511 is departing from Ezeiza heading towards Frankfurt. Your uncle offers himself to bring you to the airport, so you don’t pay a taxi, yeah your uncle is gentle with you  Boeing 747-8

Probability: 1 in 84 chances

Probability: 1 in 11 million chances

Even it would be more common to die from a heart attack at the airport. 1 in 5 people.

Now, how can I be a pilot? The pilot career may have different paths, but today I am talking specifically about commercial aviation, that means an airliner pilot. You have 2 known ways in Argentina to become a pilot, these are: Flight school Air force

Flight school This is the most common way to accumulate flight hours. Pros: Cons: It is more comfortable and you can do it at your time. It is the most expensive way to become a pilot. The aircraft is in better condition. Trust me, you have to pay a lot. Probably you meet nicer instructors. I am not kidding, it is a lot. Google it. It is closer than other options. I told you.

Air Force Pros: Cons: It’s free! It’s far, the nearest air base is in Cordoba. You finish like Goku. You cannot fly whenever you want. 404 not found You have time, and it’s hard work Pretty strict. - You have to wake up 5:30 AM, raise the flag and sing the hymn

Either way, these are the steps: PPL: Private Pilot License Once you meet the ANAC (National Administration of Civil Aviation) requirements, you can be inspected and evaluated by an instructor, so he will determine if you passed the test. 2 photos 4x4. Medic exam having already passed 35 days from it’s issue. + 1 photocopy. Blue book filled by the instructor. Passport photocopy. If you have the flight time certification you have to present it and save a copy of it. And if it’s like that you must have the sheet of the logbook with the flight time you have flown in Argentina. Until 18 years old you will need the written and approved permission of your parents.

Either way, these are the steps: CPL: Commercial Pilot License Once you meet the ANAC (National Administration of Civil Aviation) requirements, you can be inspected and evaluated by an instructor, so he will determine if you passed the test. The requirements are the same as in PPL, but you will need more flight time and different experiences.

Once you have your CPL you are closer! One tip is to pay flight time until you get 650 hours (if you are in a flight school) and once then you can be an instructor and work for a flight school. Following that tip you will get paid and also gain flight time as you teach others. You graduate of your CPL with approximately 300 hours, but unfortunately in Argentina for being First Officer of an airline and being admitted you need at least 1000 hours, and of course they are hard and expensive to get. So basically you are ready to join an airline, but you don’t meet the flight time asked. In other countries, like Chile, you could start working for an airline immediately.

Thank you for listening. Ezequiel
