Hungry, Hungry Hippos Scooter Hockey This unit will include practicing the techniques of stickhandling, passing, shooting, defense, and goaltending in scooter hockey. This will be to challenge each grade level in a different way to allow them to benefit the most from the units. This unit will include using various skills and techniques used to play a life-sized game of hungry hippos! Two students will help move the students to and from the “food” (assorted equipment) to then transfer the food back to their home (hula hoop). St. Patrick’s Day is coming near! This month is full of fun and celebration. The children should have much fun inside and outside of the school. Kids Heart Heroes rewards will be handed out and the students will be rewarded for the outstanding $ 2,979.00!! Other dates to remember are: 3/8/19- Spring Picture Day 3/17/19- St. Patrick’s Day 3/22/19- Parent Teacher Conferences 12-2 pm 3/25/19 Through 4/1/19- Spring Break Please make sure that as the weather changes the students continue to wear appropriate physical activity clothing (Especially on their scheduled gym days)! This will help prevent injuries and allow your student to participate in all activities! ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT Giannis Antetokounmpo is the athlete of the month! He plays for the Milwaukee Bucks which is the best team in the NBA, by their record, right now. He is having an amazing defensive season and is a very exciting player to watch if you enjoy basketball and the NBA. Make sure you watch him and his team as the season gets closer to the playoffs! “The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today.” -H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
