Today’s Objective Using artifacts students will be able to determine and describe the origin and trade route used merchants.

Sunken Treasure A dhow has been discovered off the coast of Africa near the city of Kilwa. As far as scientists can tell it sank around the 14th or 15th centuries You will be given a picture of one of the items found. You are to investigate this item, where it came from, what it was used for, and where it could have been going. Be prepared to share out...you never know who will be called on :)
