September 12 Students will… Understand what a linocut is Sketch their idea for a linocut

Linocut As linocut is like a stamp. You carve away all the areas you wish to remain white. The area you wish to have color need to be left untouched.

Students will be making an animal for their first print. Formative Assessment Sketch out your idea of an animal in your sketchbook

September 13- 15 Students will… Carve their lino plate SAFTEY NEVER CARVE TOWARDS YOURSELF!

Summative Assessment September 16 Students will… Review how to properly register a plate. (Covered with even ink, no bleeding, clean lines, even ink on paper) print their plates 5 times Properly sign their prints Summative Assessment
