Line Long slender spikes of blossoms with florets blooming along the stem May also be bare twigs Used to create an outline of the arrangement Examples: Gladiolous, Liatras, Eucalyptus

Mass A single flower stem with a large rounded or flat head Used within the framework of line material towards the focal point Examples: Rose, Carnation, Daisy

Filler Used to fill in the gaps between mass flowers and gives depth to the design May have a bunchy or feathery appearance Examples: Baby breath, Acacia
