introduction Our senior project involved completing the development of a theoretical medical building. We have completed the working drawings using AutoCAD. Completed a project schedule using Primavera software. Determined the building and fire codes. Determined the site location. Conducted an elevation survey of the site. Made a quantity take-off, also known as an estimate.

Project schedule We used the Primavera software in order to create a bar chart. It is basically a flowchart of each task needed to complete this building.

Building codes The building codes come from the Hammond Zoning Ordinance booklet. Location The location is on Professional Plaza Near downtown Hammond and I-12 interstate Two adjacent lots 0.5 acres for $99,000 0.75 acres for $125,000 Total lot size and price 1.25 acres $224,000

Elevation survey of location A survey was taken of the location using elevation points. These points are on a 40’ grid pattern across the whole property.

Building materials Estimate Preliminary estimate cost: $261,580 - $297,250 $110 - $125 per square foot Actual Estimate: $284,460.87
