SONICflex cariex Applications KaVo SONICflex cariex SONICflex cariex Applications Here’s how treatment is performed At first, the dentist may have to drill a little to remove hard substance such as enamel or old filling material. However, this is quickly done and is found to be only slightly unpleasant. Clinical studies show that as a rule no anaesthetic injection is required for this preparation. The dentist covers the carious area with CarisolvTM Gel and allows it to act for 30 seconds. During this time, the carious dentine is softened and can then be scraped off with a hand instrument. If necessary, gel is applied again and the softened substance is scraped off again until the cavity in the tooth is free of caries. Filling is now performed in the usual way. Further applications Combined use with "Carisolv"* Abrasion of the softened caries layer with oscillating movements Mixing of the gel and elimination of the need to use the drill Reduced power setting of the SONICflex 2003 *www.carisolv.com 05.06.2019 - © KaVo Dental GmbH
