Hens Eggs Battery Farmed Who am I??? Goose Eggs Duck Eggs Free Range Please read the text and then try to guess the type of egg that is produced in those conditions: Barn Quails Eggs

I come from a hen that has lived in a dark, damp factory environment all its life. ▪ The hens are kept in small tight cages from which they are unable to turn around or move. ▪ The cages have a sloped floor which allows the eggs to roll to the front. ▪ The hens stand on a layer of manure they have produced themselves. Sometimes their wings or beaks are clipped. ▪ The hens are fed hormones and chemicals which allow them to produce a higher than average yield of eggs per day. ▪ These are the cheapest eggs to buy.

I come from a hen who is not caged but confined to a shed, often standing in manure, with cramped conditions. I come from a hen that is able to stretch their wings - and are therefore probably slightly better off than battery hens- but l never see daylight or breathe fresh air. I come from a hen that is fed normal cheap grain but not given hormones to increase egg production I come from a hen that is unable to roam outside freely

Barn / Cage Free Hen Eggs

I come from a hen that has been allowed to roam freely outside within a farmyard, a shed or a chicken coup I come from a hen that has been fed very good quality or sometimes organic feed I come from a hen that is allowed to nest in its own natural habit and lay eggs when it feels most comfortable The yolk of my egg is an intense yellow I am the most expensive egg to buy
