Clothes What men and women wear

In today’s lesson, you will learn how to talk about what you wear In today’s lesson, you will learn how to talk about what you wear. By the end of this lesson you will be able to: use the correct verbs for getting dressed and undressed. describe what you are wearing using the correct English nouns. talk about clothes that you would wear for different occasions. talk about clothes that you would like to buy.

Verbs In the morning I get dressed. That means I put on my clothes. After I get dressed, I am wearing my clothes. I put on my pants. I put on my shirt. I put on my socks. I put on my shoes. After I get dressed, I put on my jacket and go to work.

Verbs 2 When I get home, I change my clothes. That means, I take off my works clothes, and put on my home clothes. I take off my slacks and put on my jeans. I take off my shirt and put on a sweat shirt. I take off my shoes and put on my slippers. After I change clothes, I have dinner and watch TV.

Verbs 3 When it’s time for bed, I get undressed. I take off my clothes, and go to bed. I take off my jeans. I take off my sweat shirt. I take off my slippers.

Verbs 4 When I get dressed, I have to fasten my clothes. How do I do that? I button my shirt. I zip up my pants. I fasten my shoes. If I am wearing tennis shoes, I have to tie my shoe laces.

Verbs 5 So some of the common verbs you need to know in order to talk about getting dressed and undressed are: get dressed – get undressed put on – take off change button zip – zip up unzip fasten tie
