Welcome to Open House! Ms. Murray

Absences and Tardies Call 245-3883 if your child is sick. Pre-arranged absences must be submitted through the FSUS website or app. Students will be marked tardy if they arrive after 8:01am. They will also be marked tardy if they leave early.

Transportation If there is a change in your child’s regular afternoon transportation, please send a DOJO message, send a note in the important pouch, or call the front office. Car Pick Up-make sure the person picking up has a FSUS tag and your child has the companion tag. Students will go to afterschool at 3:15pm if not picked up.

Behavior Classdojo.com You can check behavior daily. Weekly report sent every Friday. Citizenship Grade E: 90-100% S: 70-89% N: 50-69% U: below 50%

Dojo (Behavior Management) -1 five minutes out from recess -2 ten minutes out from recess -3 no recess & copy sentences (If something major happens or typically, if I have to call home, children will lose recess)

Grades and Report Cards Grades can be viewed on FOCUS using your child’s 10 digit ID number and birthday (MM/DD/YY). Students will receive an A, B, C, D, F in the subject areas. E, S, N, U in citizenship and study skills. Report Cards go home every 9 weeks; you will receive Progress Reports in the interim via the online FOCUS system. Advisory: Please sign the form each week and leave in Daily Folder!

Library Ms. Underhill We will check out books from the library during centers. Students are encouraged to take them home and read them with a parent/family member. Make sure to bring them back in order to check out a new book! Thank you for keeping them in the red bag when you are not reading them.

Reading Buddies We will have Reading Buddies every Friday. High school juniors read with your child. There will be a special celebration at the end of the year…The Reading Buddies Picnic!

Jungle Folder Black folder sent home every day. Important Pouch Weekly Newsletter Please check folders CAREFULLY. There will always be important information enclosed. Class work included Please clean out daily/weekly!!!

Blue and Red Folders Blue Homework Folder (October) Goes home Friday and is due Thursday (Mrs. Burch will go over homework) Red Weekly Work Folder Your child’s incomplete class work goes into a weekly folder. What they have not completed by Friday will be sent home with an “incomplete” label on top.

Curriculum and Websites We will be using Reading Street for Reading, GoMath for math, and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) for Science. We also have “Studies Weekly” which is a supplemental magazine for Social Studies. You will receive online log-ins for your child to access online curriculum tonight. I will let you know when the websites are up and running.
