What is ETP not?

ETP Energy Industry Doctorate Programme Funded 107 Energy Industry Doctorates across all themes Each doctorate has two supervisors from different ETP universities. Studentships funded on 1/3 1/3 1/3 model Over £3M leveraged in from industry partners: companies are co-investors, support project specification and engage directly with the research Industrial partner can be any size, any location Up to £30k from ETP, remainder split between university and industrial partner (can be in-kind). KEN (Knowledge Exchange Network)

KEN is…… ETP Objectives A 3 year funding programme for Scottish SMEs Running from 1st April 2019 to 31st Mar 2022 Supports SME/University Knowledge Exchange Capacity Building Deepening and broadening existing relationships and partnerships across ETP members to promote increased collaboration, thereby building additional energy related RD&D capacity in Scotland. Relationship Building Promoting the considerable expertise and capabilities within the ETP to develop new strategic partnerships with industry, academia and others. Internationalisation Projecting the scale and expertise of the ETP on the international stage in order to promote new outreach and knowledge exchange opportunities. Economic Impact Connecting the work of the ETP with Scottish Policy and economic development opportunities for Scotland.

KEN Projects for SMEs Must be low carbon project Must be a product/process being commercialised Scottish SME or strong Scottish presence ETP Grant of £10k for work by University Academics ETP Grant of £3.5k for Student Projects Low Carbon Project Must be a Net CO2 emissions reduction from the project Commercialisation Must result new products/processes resulting in increased Turnover, New Jobs & Jobs Safeguarded. Grant Awards Either £10k or £3.5K depending on expertise being accessed. Funds go direct to University Partner. SME must contribute 30% either in cash or in-kind

The Innovation Journey Funding Escalator ETP’s objective is to help Scottish SMEs to progress with their Innovation and/or Entrepreneurial Journey. ETP funding is part of a range of potential funding that Scottish SMEs can access. ETP aims to fit as part of a connected framework that supports innovation in Scottish SMEs.
