Spring Testing at Wheaton March 19th 2019

Class of 2019 must PASS assessments in Government, English 10 and Algebra 1, students must sit for either the Biology HSAs or MISA. Seniors should for the most part be finished with their state assessments For those that haven’t met this graduation requirement Government (NSL) Bridge project work time Mondays and Wednesdays afterschool and/or Wednesdays before school English Bridge projects work time Tuesdays and Thursdays afterschool Next test administration Algebra 1- April 25th and April 30th English 10- April 23rd and April 24th Government- May 8th and May 9th MISA (Science)- May 14th and May 15th Class of 2019

Class of 2020 Tests in RED are the most commonly taken in 11th grade Class of 2020 must PASS assessments in: Government (394) English 10 (725) Algebra 1 (725) *MISA. (TBA) For students who don’t meet the minimum passing score, bridge projects start in Fall of their senior year. Students must sit for each test two (2) times before they are eligible for a bridge project. Class of 2020

When to take the SAT/ACT Recommendation for Wheaton Students Spring 2019

Wheaton students take a practice PSAT or they can choose to pay for the PSAT 8/9 9th Grade

MCPS pays for students to take the PSAT in October of their 10th grade year

11th Grade Wheaton administers a FREE mock ACT in early October Students are encouraged to sign up and pay for the PSAT (this is the year it counts for scholarships) Mid October March/April MCPS will offers SAT school Day, MCPS covers the cost of the SAT without Essay for 11th grade students. (students can get a voucher for the ACT). Wheaton will give Accuplacer to students who don’t sit for the SAT/ACT Some students choose to test again in June of their 11th grade year 11th Grade

12th Grade July/August – SAT or ACT September- ACT October- SAT or ACT October- Accuplacer November- SAT December- SAT or ACT 12th Grade
