Democracy A system of rule by the people Direct Democracy – Citizens vote on everything Representative Democracy – citizens elect representatives to vote for them All equal under the law

Totalitarianism Gov’t where the state has complete power over all aspects of a persons life. No freedom, Censorship

Specific Example Authoritarian/Dictatorship U.S.S.R. – Stalin Italy – Mussolini Germany - Hitler

Fascism Extremely nationalistic form of Gov’t People are subordinate One leader/Dictator They allow capitalism
