We committed to making 2500 boot leis and we have collected 2600 and there are more coming in! This project has proven to be more than just making leis. It has been the hundreds of prayers that have been said for the fallen and the hundreds of prayers for their surviving families. It has been the love and care of those who labored over the ribbon so that each fallen service member would receive recognition they deserve. It has been the many opportunities of evangelization that occurred between the weaver and the on-looker at soccer practice, band practice, swim practice and in the pick up line at school. It has been mother teaching daughter how to weave and sister teaching brother. EHMC training is at MPC at 1200 on 9 SEP. To be an EHMC you must be over 18, have received the Sacrament of Confirmation and if you are married, it needs to be within the guidelines of the Catholic Church. If you have any questions please see Latonya Nowak, our awesome MPC EHMC Ministry lead. 15 August we will be celebrating The Feast of the Assumption at 1730 at both AMR and MPC Chapels.
