Paint Chip Poem Subject: inspired by the paint chip A paint chip poem is a free verse poem written on a paint chip and is inspired by the color gradient. It is a poem of honor, honoring a person or object. Make sure to describe your object and show veneration for it. An ode is free verse. An example might be: Ode to my glasses, Ode to a golden snitch, Ode to dragon eggs Must include: Adverbs and adjectives that show respect and honor within your poem. Found Poem A Found poem is a type of poem created by taking words, phrases, and sometimes whole passages from other sources and reframing them by making changes in spacing and lines, or by adding or deleting text, thus imparting new meaning. You will create a poem using the page from a book that I give you. Your poem must include: Clear, careful, squares or circles around the words of your poem. A picture drawn on your poem that represents what you “wrote”. The poem must be easily read, top to bottom left to right. Subject: Whatever inspires you on the page
