SCRIPTURE READING

II CORINTHIANS 4:7-9 7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all- surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

On God!

II CORINTHIANS 4:7 7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

II CORINTHIANS 4:8-9 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

EXODUS 14:10-12 10 As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the Lord. 11 They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? 12 Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!”

WHAT DO WE DO? When pressure comes we panic then we blame and complain.

EXODUS 14:13-14 13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

HERE IS THE CHALLENGE: That God is rarely early.

EXODUS 14:11 11 They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?

II CORINTHIANS 4:8 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair.

WHY WE ARE NOT: We are not in despair because God knows what we don’t and God sees what we can’t.

ROMANS 8:28 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

On God!
