Our Mission Our Vision Our Core Principles To unlock the potential of TDSB properties for the benefit of students, staff and communities Exceptional learning spaces serving vibrant communities TDSB lands will be preserved as public assets to the greatest extent possible Continuous modernization of TDSB schools strengthens the public education system Maximizing TDSB land value extends beyond the financial and is to include community and social value TDSB will be kept financially whole in the development of public service initiatives Our Vision Our Core Principles

ACCUMULATING REPAIRS & AVERAGE GRANTS TO ADDRESS REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE Observation $5.2 Billion $3.5Billion 2016-17 Provincial TDSB Grants ~$295M Operational Issues Include: Resources Pricing For example: Window Replacement: Pre-tender price $994K Post-tender price $1.97M ~70,000 unfunded pupil surplus spaces which is equivalent to 140 Schools with 500 seat capacity $3.4B Repair Backlog increasing to $4.7B by 2018 $4.7B is $14,700/space. 70,000 empty spaces represents $1.03B of the total deferred maintenance. $1.03B represents the equivalent of 68 New 500 seat schools ACCUMULATING REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE COST $500M AVERAGE GRANTS TO ADDRESS REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE 2003 2023
