Modern Design & Styling. How a product looks. Styling is important to a company so that their product carries a certain style and can be distinguished from other products. This can be shape, form colour etc. Growth of mass production, designers designed products for mass production these then reflected the machines that made them ‘industrial design’ every product would look virtually the same!  

Modern Design & Styling.   Realised that be styling consumers could distinguish products from competing products. This began with streamlining, smoothing or rounding off shapes used in trains, cars, staplers etc. sheet metal, plywood and plastics were formed into shape.
