DLR’s engagement hand-in-hand with UN-SPIDER UN-SPIDER’s office in Bonn/Germany strives for “ensuring that all countries […] have access to and develop the capacity to use all types of space-based information to support the full disaster management cycle“ DLR with funds of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy supports UN-SPIDER’s Bonn Office as well as the Center for Remote Sensing of Land Surfaces (ZFL) at the University of Bonn new 5-year plan opened a new chapter for the UN-SPIDER Bonn Office Intended project for ~2020/21: promoting the use of Sentinel satellite data and Copernicus information products in the field of disaster risk reduction and management in Africa (carried out by DLR and ZFL with EC funding to support technical advisory support provided by UN-SPIDER)
