EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY 9.10.04 Lesson Plan Format

Today’s Tasks Go over Lesson Plan Format and Assignments Work on web sites with Dreamweaver

Three lesson plan foci 1st Lesson Plan: Use of a digital camera 2nd Lesson Plan: Use of an on-line Primary Source 3rd Lesson Plan: Use of the Webquest format/approach

Include the title (“clever” titles appreciated), name, and date “Title" "Name" "Date Include the title (“clever” titles appreciated), name, and date

Brief Description of the Lesson: An overview of the lesson indicating the main focus of the lesson and goal of the lesson. One or two sentences Orient the reader to the lesson

TEKS technology standard and your objective for the lesson http://www Choose a technology standard that this lesson will address. Include the TEKS number and the standard as written by TEA (you may cut and paste). State the specific technology objective for this lesson. What you hope that the students will understand or learn, at the end of the lesson in your own words.

6. Materials: A list of materials (hardware, software, and supplies) needed for the lesson.

8. Assessment: Suggested methods for students to demonstrate their understanding of the concepts. This should document each child’s understand and skills for both the content and technology objectives that you wrote. Be sure this reflects your targeted concepts and skills

9. Useful Internet Resources: Identify an Internet resource that is related (can be loosely) to this lesson and include the complete address/location and 1-2 sentence description.

10. Describe a possible inclusion issue (learning, behavioral, or physical need and/or cultural diversity) and how this will be addressed in your lesson. Invent and describe one specific student. Describes his/her needs and how you will meet those needs.

Lesson plans should be e-mailed to kamenm as a word attachment, turned in as a hard copy, or posted to your website (be sure to send kamenm an e-mail with the url). Be sure to label the assignment and your name clearly on all e-mailed assignments. Please indicate if you would prefer that any work is not posted on the class web page.

Homework Read Chapter 3 for Wednesday (9/15) Lesson Plan 1 (digital camera) due 9/20 Remember to keep your How To notebook. You may show it to me when you are ready. Remember to try things outside of class from other computer labs or from your computer. Practice will keep you competent with what you learn in class
