Potential for GSBI to Scale Social Enterprises that Use Mobile ICT Haley Harada, Finance Major The Global Social Benefit Institute (GSBI) in-residence accelerator is one of the Miller Center’s social enterprise capacity building programs that facilitates social change by scaling the missions of select organizations. Mobile ICT in the Developing World Lives Impacted, 2016 Cohort Implications Solid lines indicate ICT enabled enterprises GSBI leverages and aligns technological and entrepreneurial innovation in the Silicon Valley to effectively accelerate ICT enabled social enterprises, evidenced by lives impacted data. By aligning technology with innovative business models to increase base of pyramid accessibility and consumer engagement, GSBI increases enterprises’ scaling potential and contributes to behavioral shifts that reduce poverty and exclusion in the developing world. Acknowledgements Keith Warner, Advisor Al Bruno, Reader m-health, m-agriculture, m-finance, and m-learning increase consumer engagement are the highest potential applications for the use of Mobile ICT in poverty reduction.
