TYPES OF NOUNS

PROPER NOUNS MARK TWAIN Identifies or names a person, place thing, animal or an idea. RABBIT

COMMON NOUNS They refer to general people, places, things and ideas. GIRL

COUNTABLE NOUNS People, places, animals, things or ideas which can be counted.

NON-COUNT NOUNS Words or concepts that we cannot count.

ADVERBS

WHAT IS AN ADVERB? An adverb is a word used to tell more about a verb, and it almost always answers the questions how?, when?, where?, how often?, and in what way?.

EXAMPLES THE GIRL SCREAMED LOUDLY. SHE WENT TO THE GYM YESTERDAY. JUAN USUALLY GOES TO THE MOVIES ON TUESDAY.
