Presentation transcript:

Quad-calorimeter for KLOE-2 New Dafne scheme proposed by P. Raimondi to increase machine luminosity by a factor O(5)  crab waist The KLOE detector has proven to well face the challenge nevertheless, some R&D are in progress to add new sub-detectors. We present a new quadrupole calorimeter to increase acceptance (QCALT). There are a lot of physics items that can gain from this upgrade. In particular, the last KLOE measurement on BR(KSgg) (JHEP 0805:051,2008). The R&D for Tesla/ILC made possible a very promising tile detector: Square tiles with fibers in circular grooves The readout of the tiles is possible with SiPM QCALT are 2 tile calorimeters with dodecagonal structure. Sampling of tungsten and scintillator tiles readout by SiPM Total calorimeter length: 1m 5x5 cm2 tiles along Z Total calorimeter depth 4.75 cm equivalent to 5.5 X0 Scintillator 5 mm Tungsten 3.5 mm Air 1 mm

Quad-calorimeter for KLOE-2 In this poster, we present the design and the performances of the accepted detector. In particular the studies and realization of detector components: Scintillator tiles SiPM Fibers We present a new custom electronics to manage signals from SiPM and to HV regulation. For the system made by: BC408, Saint Gobain multi cladding fiber and Hamamatsu 400 pixels SiPM, we obtain a response of 32 pe/mip with a time resolution of 750 ps. Obtained light yield and time resolution are already sufficient for our purposes. The realization of a module-0 QCALT (1/12th) is now in preparation @ Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati.
