Shepherding Ministry “I will also raise up shepherds over them and they will tend them; and they will not be afraid any longer, nor be terrified, nor will any be missing,” declares the LORD. ---Jeremiah 23:4

One of the Five Ministry Gifts 11 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the [a]saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the [b]knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature [c]which belongs to the fullness of Christ. The Word “Pastor” is “Shepherd” in Greek. Strongs definition: poimén: a shepherd (poy-mane‘)a shepherd; hence met: of the feeder, protector, and ruler of a flock of men Helps Word Studies Definition: someone who the Lord raises up to care for the total well-being of His flock (the people of the Lord).

Who are Shepherds of the Church? 1. Who are Shepherds of the Church? All followers of Christ can share in the Shepherding ministry of our Lord. Some more than others.

What is shepherding Ministry? It is often seen as visitation ministry. Or at least a “one on one” type of ministry. It involves personal contact, interaction, and direct ministry.
