The “R’s” of Sports-Related Concussion Review Review your concussion protocol prior to each athletic season. Recognize Recognize the signs and symptoms of a concussion. Report Athletes need to report their symptoms to an adult / coach / teammate. Remove Remove all athletes showing signs or symptoms of a concussion from play. Rehabilitation Medically supervised rehabilitation can assist in recovery from symptoms and assist in regaining performance. Return to Play A step-by-step approach returning to sport prepares the athlete properly.
