The C4 sector Over 10 years since the Gambling Act came into effect The sector is mature: three quarters of our operators have been operating for more than 5 years About two-thirds of current societies returned above 40% in 2013 and 2014

The C4 sector Mature sector: Venue transfers have halved since 2011 GMP has stabilised last 3 years to around $800M-$830M/Year, even though venues & EGMs have declined Costs across the sector are stable

Vision We regulate for: A safe, transparent & trusted gambling sector that benefits communities Where the sector: Actively protects gamblers & communities from gambling harm Is respected by the public, is transparent & works with the regulator Maximises gambling returns to benefit community need

Regulator’s medium term objectives To fulfil our vision we will Establish licensing as an effective gateway to the gambling sector Promote and recognise best practice in the gambling sector Support grant making that meets community needs Foster collaboration and partnership with and across the gambling sector Deliver consistent regulatory actions and robust regulatory decisions Strike the right balance between minimising gambling harm, ensuring sustainable funding for communities, and sector sustainability
