Chesapeake High School Woman’s Lacrosse 2012 Player and Parent Meeting

Tryout Information Regular Seasons begins Thursday March 1st, 2011 at 2:30 pm. (Location TBA) All Girls must have the County Mandated signed parent permission form, concussion sign off & physical form filled out by a doctor.( only one per year ) Spring Paperwork Collection is Thursday Feb. 23rd from 6-8, if you have not played a sport this year. In addition each player must turn in the Chesapeake High School Girl’s Lacrosse Team Contract signed by player and parent. (This is a CHS Girl’s Lacrosse initiative, players will receive this contract once teams have been decided) All Girls must have grey sweatpants, blue shorts, blue sweatshirt, white t-shirt, cleats, tennis shoes, mouth guard, goggles, and lacrosse stick.

Practice Information Practice times during the season will vary Expect practice to last at no more than 3 hours 2:30 – 5:30 or 3:00 – 6:00 Practices will be held on SATURDAYS before noon

Off Season Activities Winter Indoor Lacrosse – Everyone should try to sign up for the same league Quickstix – http://www.quickstix.com/winter.html Every Sunday beginning Dec 4th (8:30 to 10:30am) Teams of 10-12 Winter work outs have begun…Monday and Wednesday with Coach Kelly and Thursday with Coach Thompson Clinics – when available (please refer to emails from Al Tenneson for updates)

See Pre-Season Workout Calendar for Suggested Workouts. Off Season Activities Monday and Wednesday Meet at 2:45 in the Cafeteria with Coach Kelly, Be prepared with clothes for inside and outside weather. Thursday Meet at 2:30 in the Cafeteria with Coach Thompson. Pick up games and stick skills. Bring Lacrosse sticks and cleats. See Pre-Season Workout Calendar for Suggested Workouts.

Clothing/Gear Players should have received order form from Coach Kelly on November 16th. We would like to collect orders TONIGHT!! Late orders can be turned into Coach Collins in the Athletic Office Tomorrow, November 29th. Another order will be placed during the season but players will not receive their orders until late in the season, even possibly after.

Calendar Dates November 28th – Clothing Orders Due Dec 4th – First day of Indoor Sundays in February – Workout sessions with former John Hopkins's Players. Dates, times, and prices will be coming soon. Feb. 17th – Lacrosse Bullroast February 23rd – Spring Sports Paperwork Collection (6pm – 8pm) March 1st – Try Outs March 10th – Varsity Play Day. Games begin at 8am. Salisbury Men’s Lacrosse Game at 1pm Spring Break – Varsity Tournament (Thursday and Saturday) March 30th – Soup Kitchen for Varsity
