Our School Day Monday 8:40am – 3:10pm Tuesday 8:40am – 3:35pm Wednesday 8:40am – 3:10pm Thursday 8:40am – 3:35pm Friday 8:40am – 2:45pm Interval: 10:25am – 10:40am Lunch: 1:10pm – 1:55pm S1 pupils are not allowed out during interval or lunch for the entire year.

Our School Uniform School blazer. White shirt and tie. Black smart trousers or skirt (no leggings or jeans). Black school shoes (no other colour on shoes). Minimum make up and jewellery. Dark blue V-neck jumper or cardigan (optional). Our uniform is our first statement about our belonging to the St Andrew’s School community.

This is a Perfect Uniform This is not allowed !

Blazers Catchment Schools – Ordered blazers will be delivered to your child’s primary school. Placing Requests and Late orders – Blazers must be paid for online by 12th July and paid directly to Logo Express. Can be picked up from St Andrew’s on 12th and 13th August (In-service days).

Extra – Curricular Activities at St Andrew’s Once the term is underway, young people will be provided with a programme of activities. Extra-curricular activities take place during lunchtimes and after school.

Partnership between Home and School Home-school communication: Letters, Text Messages, Appointments, Twitter, Newsletters, Website, Surveys. Routines: Talking about Learning, Achievements, Targets, Challenges, Aspirations. Helping with Homework: Supporting routines, signing homework diaries, asking your child to explain what they are learning. Encouraging & Supporting Extra-Curricular involvement: If they haven’t joined up to do something – why not? Give them a friendly nudge! Family Learning: learn new skills or improve existing skills by participating in family learning events/programmes (ICT, Supporting Learning, Fitness, Cookery…)

Day 1 of S1: Wednesday 14th August 2019 School starts at 8:40am - Pupils to gather in S1 yard from 8:30am! S1 will organise themselves into their class lines. Pupils will be given their timetables and have guides for the first week. They will meet their Pupil Support Teacher. They will have a slightly earlier interval and lunch for the first week. They will need to get used to packing their resources each day. On a Wednesday, school finishes at 3:10pm.
