For this presentation… Evaluate environmental responsible methods for promoting whilst the project is both in construction and operational phases

Construction Phase Cutting down on none recyclable items (supplier packaging) Making sure the local environment doesn’t get populated i.e. ponds rivers, etc Making sure the right amount of material are correctly ordered will reduce cost and waste. Waste segregation – Not mixing waste products is key to reducing waste and increasing volume in recyclable items. Thought the waste segregation location on site, posters and signs marking the area for each material. Putting in systems where contractors face penalties for not abiding by rules and are rewarded for doing so.

Post construction Phase Making sure Boilers are as efficient as possible Making sure the controls for the system and running efficiently (relating to number 1) Using items like no water urinals (saving thousands of litres of water a year) Using items which are environmentally friends when being manufactured Choosing durable materials – Using better quality materials will mean fewer changes will be needed over time, meaning less maintenance. bulbs used for lighting the centre will all be energy saving to go along with the PIR sensors mentioned before.
