Big Sandy Road Bridge Deck Rehabilitation Bridge Preventive Maintenance Project (Methacrylate/Polyester Overlay) $362,629 Rehabilitated the bridge decks of 16 bridges located throughout the County with methacrylate or polyester concrete. The project also repaved several bridge approaches and replaced bridge joint seals. The project was funded by FHWA HBMP (88.53%) and Measure X provided the local match (11.47%). Elkhorn Road Bridge Approach And Bridge Deck Rehabilitation Before After

Schulte Road Bridge No. 501 $9,665 Replaced a 54-year old, one lane bridge on Schulte Road over the Carmel River. The old bridge did not meet Caltrans or AASHTO standards. The project was built over two construction seasons given the limited construction-time window dictated by the regulatory agencies to protect the sensitive habitant and wildlife in the area. The project was primarily funded by FHWA HBP (88.53%) and Measure X provided local matching funds and the funds to complete the revegetation monitoring and reporting to the regulatory agencies. Gonzales River Road Bridge Superstructure Replacement $9,755 Proposes to replace the Gonzales River Road bridge over the Salinas River. Proposed bridge will be approx 1661-ft long and 44-ft wide. Will accommodate the 100-year flood flows. The bridge approaches will need to be realigned and widened to match to the new bridge. The project is in the preliminary engineering and environmental documentation phase - expected to be completed next fiscal year. Funded by FHWA HBMP (88.53%) and Measure X provided the local match (11.47%). Existing Gonzales River Road Bridge

Monterey Bay Sanctuary Scenic Trail - Moss Landing Segment $5,751 Proposes to construct a Class 1 bike/ped path along SR-1 between Moss Landing Road and the North Harbor of Moss Landing. Approx 386-ft long bridge, parallel to the State Highway One bridge, to cross the Elkhorn Slough. The project in in the right-of-way and permitting phase. The Project is funded by a variety of Federal, State and Local funds. The Measure X contribute to the local match for federal grants. At The Southern Limit Of The Moss Landing Segment, Where Trail Will Be Between Moss Landing Harbor And Moss Landing Road

FY 17 PAMP Rehabilitation/Overlay Project $444,502 Four road sections rehabilitated in Monterey County: * Jolon Road between Pine Canyon Road and US Highway 101, * Carpenter Street east of State Route One, * Intersection of Reservation Road and Blanco Road, * Southerly portion of Pajaro Street in Castroville. The Measure X funds were used in conjunction with County General funds to maximize the extent of the repairs. Jolon Road and US HWY 101 Before After

Las Lomas Drive Flooding during the Winter of 2016 Las Lomas Drainage $99,291 Proposes of the installation of new storm drainage infrastructure, pavement reconstruction, and utility relocations to allow space for the new storm drain system. Project was divided in sections due to complexity. The first section was completed in 2016 and consisted of replacing the large diameter culvert under Hall Road. The current phase is from Sill Road to Thomas Road. Measure X is the primary source of funding. Las Lomas Drive Flooding during the Winter of 2016

Blanco Road - Pavement Condition Blanco Road Overlay $24,630 Rehabilitation of existing asphalt pavement on Blanco Road between Davis Road and Research Drive. Scope: grind the existing pavement, paving 2.4-inches of hot mix asphalt concrete (HMA), new survey monuments, and installing new loop detectors. Project length is approximately 4.56 miles. The total estimated project cost, including engineering, environmental, and construction is $3,471,023. The project is funded primarily with Measure X funds and some of county Transit Occupancy Tax (TOT) funds. Blanco Road - Pavement Condition Before After

Boronda Road new bridge railing San Jon and Boronda Road Bridges Rail Replacement $21,239 Replacing the existing bridge rails of two County bridges, San Jon Road Bridge and Boronda Road Bridge, to meet current State standards. The total estimated project cost, including environmental, engineering, and construction, is $450,161. The project is funded mostly by the FHWA Highway Bridge Program (HBP) and Measure X. Systemic Safety Analysis Report Program $371 State grant ($90,00) to prepare a collision analysis and identify treatments for high collision locations throughout Monterey County. The analysis will look at high accident locations at signalized intersections, unsignalized intersections and rural roadways. The Measure X funds are providing the 10% local match to the State funding.

Old Peach Tree Road Bridge Peach Tree Bridge Replacement $3,776 Replaced the old seismically deficient bridge on Peach Tree Road over Pancho Rico Creek, located in southern Monterey County. Approx 80-ft long and 28-ft wide, clear-spans Pancho Rico Creek. The new bridge is supported by two abutments, one on each side of the creek, outside of the creek channel. Primarily funded by FHWA HBP (88.53%) and Measure X provided the funds to complete the revegetation monitoring and reporting to the regulatory agencies. Old Peach Tree Road Bridge

Nacimiento Drive Bridge Replacement $87,234 Project will replace the existing seismically deficient one-lane Nacimiento Lake Drive Bridge with a new two lane bridge. New bridge will meet Caltrans seismic standards. The project is in the final stages of the right-of-way phase and utility relocations. The project is primarily funded by FHWA HBP.
