System Setup: Console Place console on top of cart or other equipment Position console to accommodate 5 ft. Handpiece/Guide cable (i.e. side of OR table vs. foot of OR table) Attach power cord to console and plug into outlet Power on/off switch Power cord receptacle Fuse Drawer

Handpiece Options Handpiece available as: Disposable Single-use, HPSU-01 Multi-use Guide, SG-01

System Setup: Single-use Handpiece Remove Handpiece and Handpiece test card from packaging & transfer into sterile field Double pouch package Place Handpiece and Handpiece test card in field at convenient location for surgeon

System Setup: Multi-use Guide Attach Guide to console Align arrow on Guide connector with white dot on console port Press until secure connection made between Guide and console Guide cord receptacle Alignment notch Alignment arrow

System Setup: Power up Turn on ‘Power’ switch on back of console Visual display and buttons on front of console will activate ‘INITIALIZING’ message appears during warm up ‘SYSTEM READY’ message appears when ready (~30sec)

System Setup: Handpiece/Guide Test Press ‘START/STOP’ button to activate Handpiece/Guide “LOCALIZATION MODE” appears Place Handpiece/Guide on Test Card as indicated Positive test – audible clicking, distance readout visible Negative test – no sound, no distance measurement readout Replace with new handpiece Press ‘START/STOP’ to deactivate Handpiece/Guide until surgeon ready to begin case System is now ready to use

Console Display Messages Appears when console power switched on ~30 seconds to ‘SYSTEM READY’ mode Appears when system ready for use ‘1’ - normal state, display will not show ‘0’ Mode for when Handpiece/Guide not in use Appears when START/STOP button pressed Handpiece/Guide active and ready to detect reflector Distance measurement will appear once a reflector is detected Appears when issue with Handpiece/Guide or cable connection Confirm Handpiece/Guide fully inserted into receptacle Power off/on If message persists, replace Handpiece/Guide Two most common modes Appears when Guide/Handpiece is damaged or Single- Use Handpiece has expired Turn console offf Replace handpiece NOTE: For single-use handpiece, during detection, once distance readout is visible, handpiece will be active for 2 hours before expiring

Post-Procedure System shut down Press START/STOP button Turn off power switch Disconnect handpiece or Guide Unplug power cord if console will be moved or stored Cleaning Wipe all console surfaces, including handpiece receptacles, and power cord with a mild cleaning solution or disinfectant and a damp cloth
